it's a dog's world is committed to providing a healthy and safe environment for your dogs. We choose pet and environmentally friendly products whenever possible inside and out. We have instituted and follow maintenance and operational procedures which are friendly to the natural environment surrounding our facilities. 


Some of the products and steps we use in our efforts to “Go Green” are listed below.

  • LED lighting throughout whole facility
  • Energy Star appliances
  • All allowable items are recycled: paper, plastic, cardboard, metal and glass
  • Low water use toilet
  • Environmentally friendly, non-toxic cleaning products
  • Updated weatherization
  • Well maintained, high efficiency and dog safe heating systems
  • Gravel parking lot - not asphalt
  • Mulch grass cuttings
  • Facility is entirely smoke-free
  • Use of natural insect repellant
  • Using motion sensors for exterior lighting
  • Containers and scoopers are available throughout the grounds for meticulous pick up of canine waste
  • Use of gravel and sand for icy conditions
  • Management of lawns, leaf litter, and removal of standing water to minimize mosquitoes and ticks
  • Floor mats in our training space are made in the USA from recycled rubber
  • To reduce use of paper we continue to encourage paperless communications
