Nose Work Searching: Exterior & Interior with Gail McCarthy CNWI, NACSW ORT Certifying Official, Judge and Faculty Member If you have a Trial in your future this is a wonderful opportunity to expose your dog to a “Real World” search environment and to work competitive hides. Your experienced instructor will set up the hides and provide you with constructive comments. A win-win for you and your dog!

with Sue Burrell National and International Handler Sue Burrell presents this seminar that delves deeper into breed conformation and standards. Sue will evaluate your dog in the ring, highlighting which structural points fit your dog’s breed standard. This will allow you to become proficient in accentuating your dog’s assets while learning to downplay their flaws.
When: Saturday, October 1, 2022 Time: 9:00am - 4:00pm Fee: Participant: $200 Auditor: $75 ![]() Going to Source with Gail McCarthy CNWI, NACSW ORT Certifying Official, Judge and Faculty Member In Nose Work, dogs are taught to “go to source” and the handler needs to be able identify exactly where the “source” is located if asked by a judge at a NW1 Trial. If you cannot immediately pinpoint based on your dog’s behavior, you will not pass that element. So, “going to source” is an important component to this sport. In this Workshop, we will explore the different ways that you can help your dog locate “source” with pin point precision!

Nose Work 3 Trial Rooms with Gail McCarthy CNWI, NACSW ORT Certifying Official, Judge and Faculty Member One of the biggest challenges in competing at the NW3 level is knowing when your dog has found all the hides that have been placed (or not!) in a search area. In this workshop we will explore the different ways you can tell whether your dog has found all of the hides in a search area. You will also learn how to make sure your dog keeps hunting even when there is no odor to encounter.
