Daycare Testimonials

"We have been customers of It’s A Dogs World since the day they opened their doors 20 years ago! Our experience with both the daycare & training programs has always been positive. The daycare staff does a great job of supervising the dogs for safe play while promoting good behavior and manners. We feel confident that our dogs are in good hands and know over the years they have all loved their daycare days. We have also taken many, many classes including obedience, agility and now nose work and can say that keeping it fun while learning and bonding with your dog is their main goal, and all our instructors over the years have always taken this approach. The qualifications and experience of the instructors at IADW is truly impressive."
- Maribeth Girard, Kittery, ME

"I have taken my dogs here for many years and would highly recommend them. My current dog has been going to daycare and training since she was 6mos old and she is over 2yrs now!! They are caring, knowledgeable people who take excellent care of their charges. Come and see for yourself, you will be happy and glad you did."
- Diane Abreau, Cape Neddick, ME

“The Nicest Owners & Employee’s & People You Will Ever Meet!!!”
- Heidi Seymour Cormier, Wells, ME

"Cooper, a yellow lab, has been attending it's a dog's world daycare since he was 4 months old. He has also been trained by them. Cooper is a very friendly, overly exuberant puppy. He can be hard to handle and control. The 3 day a week daycare sessions have been wonderful for Cooper. He can not wait to get there in the mornings he goes and charges in when he arrives. He is very active during his day and very tired when he arrives home. it's a dog's world daycare has been a great experience for Cooper and form my wife and I."
- Jay Twomey, York, ME

"I have taken my dogs to it's a dog's world for over 10 years and have always been pleased with the care and respect that each of the staff gives to the dogs. I appreciate that you all take time to chat with me about any concerns with the dogs - or to report any funny happenings from the day's activities."
- Sarah Haskell, York, ME

"Our boxer knows exactly where he is going when we say, "Do you want to go see your friends?" He is full steam ahead as soon as we pull in the driveway.  The staff is always pleasant and professional.  They are so kind to our big boy. Your daycare facility is a definite asset to our local community."
- Cheryl and Tim Shaw, South Berwick, ME

“My Gracie cannot wait to get to daycare all the caregivers are amazing!”
- Kelli Krohn, York, ME

"Our dog Brody, an energetic two year old King Charles Cavalier Spaniel loves his time at It's A Dog's World!   We are coming up on our one year anniversary and can't imagine our lives without this amazing staff and facility.  A little shy at first, Renee and everyone at the daycare extended lots of love and attention to Brody.  In no time, he had made friends and was whining and wagging as we pulled onto the grounds. He couldn't wait to get through the door and into the room where his friends awaited! Brody has become so comfortable that he not only plays with his own group, (affectionately termed, "the littles") but joins other groups as well.  We really appreciate how the staff flexibly groups the dogs according to age, size and energy levels, ensuring that all the dogs have fun and have their individual needs met. Brody comes home so happy and yes, tired!  We have also been fortunate to attend Basic 1 and Basic 2 Manners and Beginning Agility.  Again, our experience has been five star!  The goals of each class are explicitly stated, and the knowledgeable instructors work to ensure that each owner and pet receive the instruction and tips they need to be successful.  They are happy to answer questions and to aid when a particular task is challenging for an animal.  Their approach to training is the same as we have witnessed at the daycare, patient, supportive, and positive!   We have found our participation in the classes strengthen our bond with Brody and enable us to have fun together!  We can't wait for our second year at it's A Dog's World!!"
- Katherine Bousquet, South Berwick, ME

"My girl, Sadie, started at it’s a dog’s world when she was a little less than 3 months old. She went in there as a very timid puppy cowering and afraid of other dogs. With the love and support of the staff and the trainers for the Basic Manners classes she is maturing and loving her time at her “doggy daycare.” Just this morning (she is now 8 months old) as we pulled into the road, she saw all her friends playing in the field and she jumped up in her seat and started wagging her tail so excited to play with her friends. I have already told many of my friends and family what a great facility this is and it makes me feel good to know she is having so much fun with friends while I am at work. Thanks for all you do."
- Leanne Knight, Eliot, ME

“I can't say enough good things about it's a dog's world! What an amazing place! Renee and all of the staff are just wonderful! My dog Leo was just a mess when I adopted him. I'd never done doggie daycare before so it was a brand new experience for me. When we went for our evaluation, Leo did not do well - he was growly and jumpy with the big dogs. I was humiliated and thought we failed, and that Leo was not going to work out. But then I got the call that he could try it for a few days and see how it goes! Within one day he was a different dog. He just needed time to warm up! What's amazing is that they did not reject my little one right away - they were patient and only grouped him with small dogs (that's who he felt comfortable with). Over time they safely introduced him to bigger dogs very slowly. And now? Leo plays with every shape and size of dog with no problem!! They even used Leo for an evaluation with a new dog! He has come full circle and none of this would be possible without it's a dog's world! He knows which days he goes to daycare as he waits for me in the morning by the front door! When we get there he runs right in without looking back. And I love that its structured - they are in rotated play groups (though Leo has his "best buds") and they do snack time and nap time so they don't get overstimulated- it's all done very well. There are acres of fenced land for them to run on (big selling point for me!) and they are always supervised. They just seem to really love what they do - the staff. I noticed they will make him sit before opening the door to let him into the pickup area so they are always encouraging good behavior. The changes I have noticed in Leo since attending daycare are too many to list here - but I will say he is simply a different dog. He is still a puppy, a little over a year now - and he's just more calm in general, and this scared confused dog who was showing fear and insecurity is now very confident and happy and he would not be where he is today without Renee and it's a dog's world. They will answer your questions (trust me, I have a lot of questions!) and are so open and caring - give them a try. They are fantastic!!”
- Christina Blanchard, Kittery, ME

“Sadie now cries when my husband leaves in the morning because he is the one who takes her to daycare! She must like it there!!”
- Pat Rohm, North Berwick, ME

“Fun and safe place for your pups to hangout while you're away.”
- Angela Conley, ME

“it's a dog's world is a wonderful place to bring your dog or dogs, for daytime play and excellent care. My dogs, Gjaki and Patsy absolutely love going and start jumping around the car as we get closer. Yes, they know the route! The staff are friendly and super caring and professional and monitoring your dog’s stay throughout the day. I wouldn't bring mine anywhere else. They are the best!!!”
– Margaret Carol, Kittery Point, ME

“Our dog Otis really enjoys it's a dog's world. They are very professional and ensure your dog is with the proper group of dogs. They really know how to handle the dogs well and have an excellent system. The application process gives you comfort knowing they just don't take any dog and gives you the sense your dog is going to a safe environment. I have heard many people say how great they are and I agree.”
– John Wiegert, South Berwick, ME

“Our dog, Brady, has been going to it's a dog's world since he was a puppy. He is always very excited to arrive there, and when we pick him up he's tired from lots of exercise and playing with all his buddies. It's a great place to socialize your dog with others. We can't say enough about the staff. They are knowledgeable, caring and friendly, and I would highly recommend it's a dog's world.”
- Kathryn Fagan, Eliot, ME

“Our miniature schnauzer milo, has gone year for a year. He can't wait to get out of the car and comes home exhausted!! The staff are very caring and friendly, we love it's a dog's world!!!”

“We have been bringing our dog's here for two generations (of dogs). It has been a blessing for both us and our dogs--great people, great care, great training, always helpful. We recommend it's a dog's world to all our neighbors and friends.”
- Charles Lawton, York, ME

“I rescued a 5 month old golden who was abused and as a result had some emotional issues. Renee and her staff have helped Emma overcome a lot of her issues with their knowledge, patience and understanding. They offer training and advice for any problem that comes up. I know that without it's a dog's world, Emma would not have progressed as far as she has.
It's clear that the dogs love them as well, I have seen countless dogs dragging their owners into daycare on a daily basis, so excited to be there. I would never bring Emma anywhere else.”
- Janice DeStefano, York, ME

“Maddie and Elvis absolutely love spending the day with everyone at It's a dog's world and by 7PM they're toast ! Some weeks its once a week and others a few times a week but they really do enjoy their time with everyone there and of course their K9 pals.”
- Robert Becker, Eliot, ME

Our Femi absolutely loves going and she always come home with the biggest dog smile and ready to rest after all of the excitement of the day's interactions with all of the other dogs. The staff has always been professional, yet very warm and friendly. We wholehearted recommend " it's a dog's world " for their awesome daycare program!”
- Karen Joy, York, ME

“What an amazing place! My Chevrolita is so anxious to bound through the door as soon as we turn the corner to the daycare. Thank you to the staff for your patience and love with Chevrolita. She is totally exhausted when she gets home and I only wish she could be in daycare 5 days per week.”
- Angie Murray, Portsmouth, NH

“FANTASTIC facility and staff. Completed basic obedience and our Lab Pup LOVES daycare with her friends! Beautiful set-up with fields for running and playing, and the training facility is first class. SO glad we discovered them!!”
- Bryce Waldrop, York, ME

“Professional, loving and fun crew at it's a dog's world! The staff is great ... my less than social dog has adjusted just fine and looks forward to his days with his "friends". I can relax all day knowing Oliver is well cared for and that he will be tuckered out at the end of the day is also a good thing!”
– Cynthia Maranhas, York, ME

"it's a dog's world has been a great resource for our family and our Walker Coon Hound, Blue. We've participated in the Basic Manners class which was wonderful and provided us with strategies to communicate with our dog in an effective way - Even our 4 year old can use the commands and our dog listens to her! Blue also participates in doggy daycare 3 days weekly. She loves to play with the other dogs and comes home pleasantly exhausted. The it's a dog's world Staff are knowledgeable and warm. Most importantly, they truly love the dogs!”
– Gretchen Estes, York, Maine

“it's a dog's world is our dog's home away from home. Nica has gone to daycare here five days a week since she was a puppy 8 years ago, and we have nothing but great things to say about Renee, the staff, and the dogs. Not only have they helped us to train our dog because they encourage positive behaviors when she is there, they know and love her quirks. Renee and her staff show respect for all of their dogs and make sure that they are exercised, happy, and safe.”
– Roz Witherbee, Cape Neddick, ME

“My Sammy loves both the staff and the other dogs he plays with at it's a dog's world and I love the happy well socialized poodle I collect in the evenings. The staff takes the time to get to know you and your dog and answer any questions you have be it about daycare, activities, or training in general.”
– Mary Dennett, Eliot, ME

“My Coulibaly loves Tuesdays because that's his day at it's a dog's world and he gets to play with his buddies - both canine and human. Caring staff, lots of room to run, and play groups suited to his temperament. What's not to love?”
– Chuck Hatch, York, ME

"My dog Koda has been going to it's a dog's world for 6 1/2 years. Over those years Renee and her staff have been great to me and Koda. I cannot express how happy l have been with it's a dog's world. I would recommend this facility to all dogs young and old.”
- Dan & Jessica Letourneau, York, ME

"Koia and Brody have been visiting day-care at it's a dog's world for a couple years now. They began their lives as puppies through the training offered at the facility and now call it their second home. It is a place where they are comfortable and get the socialization needed to become mature dogs. Both Koia and Brody entered training and day-care as very nervous puppies. Getting them to meet strangers was a big challenge. Now with their time at it's a dog's world I have seen a dramatic change in behavior and have no problem taking either of them to strange environments. The attention to detail and the understanding that every dog is different is what sets the facility apart from others I know. it's a dog's world is a fun friendly environment for all dogs and it is their dedication and love that always excites Koia and Brody to return."
- Kevin Erikson, York, ME

“My two dogs LOVE going to it's a dog's world. They always walk in with tails wagging and come home tired after a day full of fun with their buddies. This is a BIG deal, because one of my dogs has refused to get out of the car at a former daycare, so I know he loves it here. I appreciated the thorough interview process to make sure that the dogs would be OK with other dogs, because I know that all the other dogs at the daycare have gone through this same interview, so they are there with friendly dogs. I also like that we can take classes here as well! We get so much out of the ongoing training offered at it's a dog's world. Thank you to the awesome staff for making it such a great place for our boys to play and learn.”
– Laura Lawson, Kittery, ME

“This is an incredible place to send your dogs for daycare. The facility is clean and very professionally ran. The fields that the dogs get to play on, are amazing and our 4 dogs come home exhausted. Every time I open the door at home the dogs bolt to the car thinking they are headed to it's a dog's world, they can’t get there soon enough. Thank you Renee and crew for taking such great care and spoiling our "boys.”
– Debie McSweeney, York Harbor, ME

"Stella has been going to Daycare since she was a puppy. She LOVES going and playing with all her friends and we love that she comes home tired and happy! The staff are caring, knowledgeable and obviously love every single one of the dogs. I wouldn't take her any other place.”
- Cindy, Charlie and "Stella", York, ME

“Brought my black lab puppy to the basic manners class and he also goes to daycare once a week. He loves it and we love it because they keep up at daycare with what we learn in class. We will be signing up for the Beyond Basics class. I highly recommend bringing you dog here for classes and/or daycare!”
– Alyssa Chase, South Berwick, ME

"Awesome happy place for my dog to run and play with his doggy friends! I know that my dog is safe and in good hands when he's there! The staff are also wonderful, I often look to them for advice because they are so knowledgable.”
– Erin Moore, Eliot, ME

“My almost 9 year old Irish Setter, Indy, has been going to it's a dog's world since she was only a few months old. I initially brought her to training there and because she had some rough play issues (with both human and canine friends), they suggested that I start her in day care where they would put her in with the older dogs who would teach her what was acceptable play behavior. Not only did Indy learn quickly from her new friends, she became so gentle that she is often used for testing out the new kids and likes to be with the puppies. Indy was such a problem puppy that I wasn't sure I would be able to keep her but thanks to the staff and other "kids" at it's a dog's world, this dog became the best dog I've ever had the opportunity to share my life with. And when we adopted a 2 year old Bichon 6 years ago, she happily started in day care too!”
- Carrie Rosenthal, York, ME

“The best day care and training center. Have been taking my dogs now for approximately 15+ years!!!”
